It’s located inside a household areas. The place is rather simple, which you can directly spotted through the “blue tent” from faraway. I visited this place in the Friday prayer time, but still there are a lot of visitor. You have to queue for about 5-10 minutes. The process is first you pick the chicken, chilli (I took 5 chilli and it’s quite spicy), other protein that can be mixed with the geprek (tempe, tahu, fried egg), and veggies. Once you are done with picking your food, you have to bring it directly to the staff (a nice old lady), she will then do the geprek right in front of you (this is what differ the geprek compare to Jakarta, since in Jakarta they are not really do the geprek). She will ask you what kind of sambal you want, I’m not so sure so I just pick the “campur” choice. After she done, you bring your food to the table, there are the indoor and semi-outdoor choices, both is not really different (hot and crowded). You can take the tongseng soup for free if you want. They also sell drink in a warung-like concept, located inside the room.
Payment system is quite easy, qris available. Parking is kinda hard, you have to park in the street. And last thing, yeah it’s cheap (may be normal for...
Read moreOn a leisurely weekend afternoon, I ventured to Tenda Biru Ayam Geprek “BU MADE” with moderate expectations. Surprisingly, the place wasn’t bustling with crowds, providing a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a meal. My curiosity led me to try their specialty, the ayam geprek, a dish known for its spicy kick. If you’re not a fan of fiery flavors, this place might not be your ideal choice, as their sambal is exceptionally spicy, even for someone like me who enjoys a bit of heat in their food.
However, I couldn’t help but notice that the restaurant seemed to lack proper maintenance. The presence of numerous flies was quite off-putting and raised concerns about cleanliness. Despite this drawback, the one redeeming aspect was the affordable pricing. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly spot to satisfy your craving for spicy ayam geprek, Tenda Biru Ayam Geprek “BU MADE” might still be worth a visit, as long as you don’t mind the occasional fly...
Read moreThe best "ayam geprek" or crushed chicken in the town! The ingredients to crush the chicken are good and delicious! We can order how much chilli that you want. Yesterday I eat there 1 porsion which included rice + crushed chicken + soups + ice tea cost 19k rupiah. Instead of soup, you can change it with "kuah tongseng" which also has a good taste. "Kuah tongseng" is a little bit sweet for me, so I just prefer to order the soup. "Kuah tongseng" here only includes cabbages, but the soup includes carrot, cabbage, greens (sawi), and celery. I always love to eat here with my friends. We serve our selves to pick the fried chicken, the chilli, soup, tempe, egg, fried eggplant and the rice. I don't really suggest you to eat at noon because here is really hot and there is no van or ac, but the food is really good and always crowded especially...
